Buttercup – The Evolution of a Brand
This was a fun project to design. Our client came up with the company name and idea while walking his dog, Buttercup, through neighborhoods and noticing old homes, which he could buy, renovate, and resell. Buttercup, the dog, became the graphic concept. We took many photos of Buttercup (1), then sketched a line art drawing to simplify the graphic (2), adapted type and little tweaks (3) and the logo was born.
As a unique calling card, we had actual tags engraved, which matched the dog tag on the logo.
Buttercup would be proud.
